  • Michigan City Man Charged With Child Solicitation

    Michigan City March 27, 2021 A Michigan City man is behind bars facing a felony charge of child solicitation for allegedly soliciting sexual acts from an underage child, The Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children, received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). They began an investigation into the online activities of a Jonathon Schuette, 42. The cyber tip was came in via social media stating that a user of their services had allegedly had solicited an underage child for sexual acts The investigation revealed that Schuette had been communicating with the minor since 2018. Allegedly Schuette contacted the child for the purpose of engaging in sexual conduct.

    All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Suspects named in articles, mugshots and arrest records published by NWI Digest are not an indication of guilt, or evidence that an actual crime has been committed.
